Simone Autera, Professor of Management of Cultural Industries and Institutions at Bocconi University, is the next guest on the Talent Show podcast, a new series devised by Financial Times and Bocconi for the younger generation with analysis on trends and career advice in the most coveted sectors. Autera talks about the latest trends in the entertainment industry, the changes to cultural businesses and products and gives some tips for those interested in working in the sector.
The Talent Show podcast series features Bocconi professors and alumni analyzing the most important trends of the moment in various sectors - ranging from finance to entertainment, from the space economy to AI - to help young people understand the changes and challenges to be met and giving practical career advice.
"At the moment the role of the consumers is the most important trend with consumption moving from being active to creative. Consumers are co-creating products and to understand the industry you must try out the products, understand the consumers’ perspective,” says Autera. “And you must also study the complimentary industries to the business of content, such as TLC and technology.”
