Egea, a New Scientific Committee for the Challenges of the Future

THE COMMITTEE CHAIRED BY FRANCESCO GIAVAZZI IS COMPOSED OF RECTOR VERONA, DEAN OF SDA BOCCONI SODA AND PROFESSORS FROM ITALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITIES. THEY WILL SERVE FOR A THREE YEAR TERM

To pursue and disseminate culture, and accentuate its international exposure, in line with Bocconi University's strategy. This is the mission to which Egea, the Bocconi publishing house, chaired by Luigi Guatri, is called. The company’s Scientific-Editorial Committee has been redefined for the three-year period 2021-2023 by its president, Francesco Giavazzi, professor of the Department of Economics and Vice President of the Bocconi International Advisory Council.

"Bocconi University in recent years has gone from being a great Italian university to a university that is in competition with the best European and world realities", says Francesco Giavazzi. "Now we want to ensure that Egea also becomes a University Press of international standing. This committee, so heterogeneous in variety of experience and origin, which unites, in addition to the Rector of Bocconi Gianmario Verona and the Dean Giuseppe Soda of the SDA Bocconi School of Management, 24 professors from 16 different universities in four countries, will help us understand how to make this leap ”.

"Egea, in its thirty years of life, has consolidated itself as a university press of culture with a market", explains Mirka Giacoletto Papas, CEO of Egea, "and, over the last couple of years, in line with the strategies of Bocconi University, has launched an internationalization process that concerns content, authors and dissemination. But publishing is a world already immersed in the challenges of the future ", continues Giacoletto Papas," and, today more than ever, requires diversified vision, knowledge and skills. The Scientific Committee represents, for Egea, the guiding force to immerse ourselves in this new future ”.
