Bocconi in the Europe Top 5 of US News

IN THE ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS RANKING, BASED ON RESEARCH PERFORMANCE AND REPUTATION, BOCCONI RISES TO 18TH WORLDWIDE AND 5TH IN EUROPE. 7TH WORLDWIDE FOR INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS IN ACADEMIC PAPERS

Bocconi recently added ‘Now More Than Ever’ to its motto ‘Knowledge That Matters’ and the university’s commitment to producing impactful research is reflected in the new edition of the U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities ranking 2021, which is based on excellence in academic research. In the subject ranking dedicated to Business & Economics, Bocconi ranks in fact 18th worldwide, gaining three positions, and 5th in Europe, gaining one position.

The U.S. News & World Report ranking distinguishes itself for being based exclusively on the reputation and impact of the research of the universities taken into consideration. The ranking is drawn up based on the results of 13 indicators, including global research reputation, publications and number of citations.  Bocconi distinguishes itself in particular for international collaborations, which measures co-authorship with researchers from other universities, placing 7th in the world.

"The US News ranking is certainly the most prestigious and traditional ranking for the American market," says Stefano Caselli, Dean for International Affairs, who follows the rankings for the University, "and captures in a particular way the dimension of the faculty's research and reputation, through both an analysis of publications and an extensive international survey.”
