Bocconi's Solidarity Campaign for Milan and Lombardy

A 200,000 EURO DONATION, TWO CAMPUS BUILDINGS AVAILABLE TO HOST HEALTHCARE FACILITIES AND A FUNDRAISER OPEN TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY: THE MILAN BASED UNIVERSITY HAS TAKEN THESE CONCRETE ACTIONS TO RESPOND TO THE COVID19 HEALTH EMERGENCY

Two buildings available to host emergency healthcare facilities and a gift of €200,000 to support the Lombardy Region - Coronavirus Emergency Support and the City of Milan - Mutual Aid Fund: these are the concrete actions Bocconi University has put in place to support the efforts of the institutions, healthcare facilities and citizens of Milan and Lombardy particularly affected by the Covid-19 health emergency.

"Bocconi’s roots are in Milan and Lombardy: we have always felt a strong bond with our territory, and share the same values, the same drive," says Gianmario Verona, Rector of Bocconi. "In this difficult moment, our contribution and our thoughts turn to the families, workers, institutional representatives and, above all and with infinite gratitude, to all the doctors and nurses who are working tirelessly to tackle this emergency."

The University has also launched a fundraiser open to students, professors, staff and alumni on the giving.unibocconi.it platform to support campaigns for the Lombardy Region and the City of Milan.

Lastly, from the beginning of the emergency the University responded promptly to ensure the safety of its community while at the same time guaranteeing the continuation of activities. Remote teaching began and teleworking was extended to all staff on 24 February, a tangible response to the #MilanoNonSiFerma (Milan Never Stops) and #IoRestoACasa (I’m Staying Home) appeals.
