A Journey Through Salento's Olive Trees. At Bocconi

NATURE AND POETRY. ULDERICO TRAMACERE'S SHOTS ON THE WALLS OF THE CAMPUS, IN THE VIA SARFATTI 25 BUILDING. THE EXHIBITION, CURATED BY MIA PHOTO FAIR, IS AVAILABLE STARTING ON 30 JANUARY

Thirteen black and white photographs. Subject: the olive trees of Salento. Ulderico Tramacere's solo exhibition is called Nylon, which he has created in collaboration with A100 Gallery, curated by the MIA Photo Fair. It will come to Bocconi University on Thursday 30 January (at floor -1 of the Sarfatti 25 building).

By telling the story of removing olive trees, focusing on more than mere reportage, the photographer from Lecce gives free rein to his poetics, liberating the images from their own contingency and inserting them into a more poetic narration.

"These olive trees are in a sort of disturbing and fascinating danse macabre," explains Gigliola Foschi, historian and photography critic and a member of the MIA Photo Fair committee. "They allow us to hear nature crying out in pain, which is increasingly dominated by man. At the same time, they also bring out its archaic strength."

The exhibition will be open from 30 January to 30 March. Mondays through Fridays: 9:00am-8:00pm / Saturdays: 10:00am-6:00pm. Free admission.
