Giovanna Bonora Named Fundraiser of the Year

SENIOR MAJOR GIFTS OFFICER AT BOCCONI, SHE WAS THE WINNER OF THE LATEST EDITION OF ASSIF'S ITALIAN FUNDRAISING AWARD

“She embodies the spirit of the fundraiser, driven by the desire to do something to change the world. Over the years, she has been able to work in different areas and in different roles, until starting at a prestigious international organization of higher education.” These were the words used to announce Giovanna Bonora, Senior Major Gifts Officer at Bocconi University, as the winner of the 2019 edition of the Italian Fundraising Award, a prize promoted by ASSIF, the Italian Fundraiser Association.

“I’m very happy about this award,” said Bonora. “I’m especially pleased that it has been awarded in an area that is still not very prevalent in fundraising in Italy, i.e. higher education and research,” she commented.
