Three Minutes and One Slide: 32 Startups Looking for Funding

THE NEW APPOINTMENT WITH BOCCONI STARTUPDAY IS ON TUESDAY, 16 APRIL. AFTER A PUBLIC SESSION, ENTREPRENEURS WILL PRIVATELY MEET VENTURE CAPITALISTS AND BUSINESS ANGELS. YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS ARE INCREASINGLY FOCUSING ON SUSTAINABILITY

There will also be Daniele Luchetti, director and screenwriter who has already won several David di Donatello awards, among the 32 startuppers who, on Tuesday 16 April, will present their companies to investors during the #StartUpDay 2019, the event reserved for the communities of Bocconi and, from this edition, Politecnico di Milano, organized in collaboration with Citi Foundation as part of the #pathways2progress initiative.

In the morning (9am, Aula Magna, via Roentgen 1) the startups will pitch to a heterogeneous audience, which will also include about fifty potential investors, venture capitalists and business angels. In the afternoon, investors will meet the startups of their interest in one-to-one mode.

Luchetti, who will present an audiovisual development and production startup, and the other entrepreneurs will have to convince the audience in a three-minute pitch and with the help of a single slide.

The startups have been divided into four categories, which identify the sectors in which there is the greatest ferment of new companies: Fashion & Fintech; Health & Leisure; Marketplace & Networking; Sustainability & Smart Living.

The novelty of this year is the growing attention to sustainability of many startups. These range from Wash Out, a start-up hosted by Bocconi's incubator, Speed MI Up, which washes cars while they are parked without using water and which has already been awarded the prize money from the B Heroes competition on Canale 9, to those who probe the use of flours and oils obtained from insects for breeding and feeding.
