Sports Day, Let the Games Begin

THE ANNUAL ONCAMPUS EVENT DEDICATED TO PROMOTING AND PRESENTING THE UNIVERSITY'S ACTIVITIES THROUGH GAMES AND DEMONSTRATIONS WILL RETURN ON 5 APRIL

The countdown has begun. The 12th edition of Bocconi Sports Day is right around the corner and Bocconi athletes are revving up to get ready. The traditional sporting event will be held on 5 April starting at 10am and lasting all day. The appointment symbolizes Bocconi Sport Team’s activities, with Bocconi and SDA students, along with faculty and staff, facing off in soccer, basketball and 3-on-3 volleyball competitions and ping-pong and foosball tournaments on campus, near the Velodromo building. It doesn’t just focus on competition, however, it’s also a chance to get to know other sports groups at Bocconi, such as lacrosse, golf, rugby and sailing, which will give presentations of their activities. The day will be accompanied by music from Radio Bocconi and events organized by Bocconi TV. There will also be a performance by students from the MoveOn Performing Arts Academy, a new center dedicated to professional training in the area of dance and theater.

At the end of the day, at around 5:30pm, an awards ceremony and drinks will be offered to all registered athletes in the BBar.

Bocconi Sport Team S.S.D., which organized the event, promotes and coordinates the practice of sports at Bocconi, with the aim of complementing the economics and business education that characterizes the University.

Men's and women's basketball, boxing, golf, horseback riding, judo, lacrosse, mountaineering, rowing, rugby, sailing, skiing and snowboarding, 5- and 11-a-side men's soccer, 5-a-side women's soccer, squash, swimming and water polo, tennis, track and field and men's and women's volleyball, are all sports practiced at Bocconi, both at recreational and competitive levels, in national championships and international tournaments.
