A Concrete Help for the Earthquake Emergency in Central Italy

A FUNDRAISING DRIVE HAS BEEN LAUNCHED IN COLLABORATION WITH MIUR TO ENSURE THE RIGHT TO EDUCATION AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN. THE MESSAGE FROM RECTOR GIANMARIO VERONA AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER BRUNO PAVESI TO THE BOCCONI COMMUNITY

Dear colleagues and students,

The earthquake emergency that is affecting large parts of Central Italy also significantly impacts thousands of students from schools of all levels. Many school buildings are destroyed or seriously damaged, and many children now find themselves in serious difficulty.

To ensure the right to education and essential services for the schoolchildren in greatest need, Bocconi University has launched a fundraising drive in collaboration with the Ministry of Education’s Student General Directorate of Integration and Participation.
More precisely, over three thousand students, from nursery school through high school in the provinces of Ascoli Piceno, Fermo, Macerata, Perugia and Rieti, will receive financial support for primary school canteen service, transportation to and from schools, and the right to education (school supplies, teaching materials, etc.).

As every year during the holiday season, the University wishes to renew its commitment to solidarity by allocating a large sum in support of this important project. Bocconi asks all its community members (faculty, staff, students) to participate actively, by spreading the word about the initiative and by contributing directly with donations made to the account IPSAR Distretto # 1 (the reference for the collection of funds):

Account in the name of IPSAR DISTRETTO N. 1
IBAN: IT 03 L 07601 14600 000014024020
Causale (Reason for transfer): "Bocconi University Donation"

We are confident that this important initiative will receive generous support from many of you, in the spirit of solidarity that has always distinguished us.

Warm regards,
The Chief Executive Officer
Bruno Pavesi
The Rector
Gianmario Verona
