Summer is Coming

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN FOR BOCCONI SUMMER SCHOOLS. THIS YEAR THERE WILL BE FOUR OF THEM, STARTING THE END OF JUNE

The Summer School will return in June to enliven Bocconi University, even if only online, and will maintain its focus on economics, management and law. Classes will use a cutting-edge platform with innovative and interactive methods, employing group work and real-world case studies in courses and seminars given by Bocconi faculty. The varied offer of courses lets you have a brush with all the topics taught at Bocconi, from machine learning to digital marketing, from luxury and fashion management to international politics and much more.

Four options are available: there is the Summer School for High School Students, which will be held in English from 5 to 16 July; the Summer School for International University Students, also in English, from June 28 to July 16 that is worth 6 credits; the Summer School in Law for high school students, both Italian and international ones, which will be held in Italian from 29 June to 2 July; and, new this year, the Summer School in Law for University Students, aimed at international and Italian undergrads and recent graduates, which will be held in English from 5 to 10 July, where students can earn 3 credits.

For the second online edition, the expectation is to have even better numbers than those recorded for the 2020 edition, when the three Summer Schools then in existence registered a total of about 650 students from various regions the world over (48 nationalities in the summer school reserved to high school students, and 36 in the one for international college students) and from universities on all continents.

"Internationally, the offer of summer schools is high", explains Stefano Caselli, Dean for International Affairs at the University, "and Bocconi leads in this area as well. The lockdown has certainly limited the international mobility of students, but summer schools can partially overcome these limitations, although in virtual mode. But not only that", continues Caselli, "summer schools are above all an opportunity for university and high school students to enrich and diversify their curriculum and this year's offer covers the whole gamut of economic, business, and legal disciplines. With excellent teaching content, high-profile testimonials, and business games that will keep students engaged from day one. But we won’t stop there, as we are already thinking about the 2022 edition. We intend to make a further qualitative leap”.
