Piano City Milano Performing at Bocconi

A PIANO CONCERT BY SERENA GALLI AND NICCOLO' RONCHI WILL BE HELD ON 21 MAY AT 10, IN THE ATRIUM OF THE VIA SARFATTI 25 BUILDING. THE PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE SONATAS BY SCHUBERT, BEETHOVEN, BRAHMS, CHOPIN AND LISZT

Serena Galli and Niccolò Ronchi, two young and talented performers, will brighten up and start off the weekend in Milan with a piano concert. It will be held on Saturday 21 May at 10am in the atrium of the Via Sarfatti 25 building. The performance is part of the citywide event, Piano City Milano.

Serena will inaugurate the concert, playing Franz Schubert Impromptus, Op. 90 no. 2 and no. 4, Ludwig van Beethoven Quasi una fantasia “Al chiaro di Luna” Sonata, Op. 27 n. 2, and Johannes Brahms Four Ballades. At 11am, Niccolò will perform “Romanticism at the Piano” with Johannes Brahms Variations on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 35 vol. 2, Frédéric Chopin Nocturne, op. posthumous in C# minor, Nocturne, Op. 27 n. 2 Franz Liszt Totentanz.

Serena Galli, born in Cremona in 1990, has studied piano since the age of eight. She graduated from the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato “C. Monteverdi” in Cremona in 2009 and in 2011 she completed a diploma in musical instrument teaching at the Conservatorio di Milano with honors. She has taken part in many performances, both as a soloist and in ensembles.

Niccolò Ronchi completed a diploma in piano at a very young age, cum laude and with honors. He has participated in many national and international piano competitions, establishing himself on the Italian and international piano scenes. Since 2010, he has been dedicated to piano compositions, demonstrating his very personal style. He has made several recordings, including for Radio Classica and Radio Vaticana. The event has been organized by the Student Affairs Division-ISU Bocconi and Furcht Pianoforti. Admission is free.
