Why You Should Give 0.5 Percent of Income Tax to Bocconi Students

Between 2006 and 2017, more than €1 million was raised to fund financial aid and tuition support for students, thanks to Bocconi alumni and other taxpayers giving 0.5% of Italian income tax, which by law is destined to fund charities and non-profits. Among the many donors who have chosen to support the University this way is Fabio Lombardi, 43, a 2015 Executive MBA graduate (evening program) from the SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is also Class Leader as well as the current head of the Finance and Real Estate Topic Group for the Bocconi Alumni Community. "For several years now, I have chosen to give my cinque per mille (0.5% of income tax) to the University and, since we often speak of fundraising in the course of alumni activities, it is only natural for me to do so," says Lombardi, who works as CFO for Copernicus, a smartworking platform.

"Supporting study and research is useful for the whole community, not just the Bocconi community," the alumnus continues. "Giving the possibility to those who could not otherwise afford it to be trained in the skills and educated with the values of Bocconi University is certainly something we should all strive for."
