Feeling Stressed? A New Campus Life Series May Help

, by Andrea Celauro
The videos are called Mental Health Tips. They provide concrete advice on how to tackle some of the typical struggles faced by students and improve psychological wellbeing in general

Being a university student is hard work: with classes, group projects, studying and exams, it can be a struggle to stay balanced and always perform at your best. To help students with these issues, Bocconi University has introduced a new initiative through the Campus Life Counseling and Self-Empowerment service. It's a series of short videos called "Mental Health Tips," that provides suggestions and advice on how to improve and maintain psychological wellbeing. There are four main topics: how to deal with fatigue, managing anxiety, advice on making new connections and tips on time management.

"Health and well-being are key aspects to ensuring that students can reach their fullest potential during their time at University. New challenges arise on a regular basis and some students may struggle with changes in their environment, their routine or their coursework," explains Catherine De Vries, Dean for Diversity Inclusion at Bocconi University. "This is why it's important that they develop the skills they need to be resilient and to cope with any stress they might have. Campus Life offers a range of services to help students with these issues. The most recent initiative is a new series of videos focused on psychological health and well-being. They aim to give students a few concrete tips for addressing these issues while raising awareness about mental health struggles more generally."
