Coffee Chats Kick Off with Federico Marchetti

The Chairman and Founder YOOX NET A PORTER Group is the first guest of the Bocconi and FT Talent series with managers, entrepreneurs and Bocconi professors and their advice for young talents

Passion, determination, curiosity. These are the characteristics to look for in young talents according to Federico Marchetti, Chairman and Founder YOOX NET-A-PORTER Group and Bocconi Alumnus of the Year 2014, the first guest of the new Coffee Chats series, a FT Talent and Bocconi initiative. Six meetings, informal chats, with Bocconi professors and alumni, who are leading managers and entrepreneurs, who, with advice and personal insights, can be an inspiration for young talents.

FT Talent teamed up with Bocconi in 2019 to organize the global competition FTxBocconi Challenge. The second edition last February saw 150 talents from all around the world compete online with ideas on reshaping the business world leveraging on human capital, sustainability, diversity and inclusion. Federico Marchetti was among the guest speakers of the event.

In this interview with Virginia Stagni, Business Development Manager at Financial Times and FT Talent Director, Marchetti gives his personal advices to aspiring entrepreneurs and leaders looking to build a business and create stronger collaborative teams and talks about increasing diversity and inclusion in industries.

The series will continue with chats with Bocconi alumni Diego Piacentini, senior advisor at KKR and former Senior Vice President at Amazon, Davide Serra, CEO of Algebris Investments, and Alisee de Tonnac, co-Founder Seedstars, and with Markus Venzin, Dean of Innovation at Bocconi, and Cassandra Chambers, Professor of Management at Bocconi.
