Bocconi and Jobs, 3rd Virtual Edition to Kick Off on April 13

, by Davide Ripamonti
Three days for students and fresh graduates to meet with corporate employers and get a first taste of the world of professional employment

Make a virtue out of necessity, a well-known adage says. And never as in this case has proverbial wisdom matched reality. It's the current philosophy of Bocconi & Jobs, the event that enables Bocconi undergraduate students and Bachelor holders up to one year from graduation, as well as MSc students and graduates, and students and graduates of the School of Law up to three years from graduation, to gather information on the world of jobs and meet numerous employers from various industries. It will take place from Tuesday 13 to Thursday 15 April, from 10am to 5pm, and for the third time it will be in a virtual mode. It is registering record participation, as in the two previous occasions.

"We have innovated methods and proposals under the pressure of necessity but seeking to make the most of the potential of digital technologies", explains the Dean of the Graduate School, Antonella Carù. "The massive response of employers, whose number is growing strongly compared to last November's edition, and the active participation of students testify that what we have been doing goes in the right direction and that the integration of face-to-face initiatives with virtual ones will be key to implementing successful job initiatives in the coming years".

In fact, 124 employers will be present, from the following sectors: Industrial & Consumer Goods and Services (on stage on April 13), Finance, Consulting and Auditing (on April 14) and Law Firms and Tax Consultancies (on April 15). Participants will have the opportunity to access the companies' virtual stands to collect information from institutional websites, video releases, social media channels, official documents and reports) and learn about the opportunities for employment available. During the preview period (from 9 to 11 April) all the stands were active, while during the live sessions, only the stands of the companies pertaining to the day's sector of choice will be open.

Furthermore, during the live sessions of the 3-day event, students and graduates will be able to take part in company presentations (32 webinars scheduled) and interact directly with recruiters (via individual or group chats and individual or small-group video calls) and propose their candidacies. Applications for available positions will remain open for up to one week after the daily live sessions of Bocconi & Jobs.

Through the event's landing page (https://virtualbocconiandjobs.vfairs.com), students and grads have access to the key stages of the initiative, the agenda of company presentations, employers' logos, as well as some tips and suggestions for participating in and preparing for the event in the best possible way.
