World University Rankings, Bocconi Confirms Top 5 Position in Europe in all its Fields

IN THE QS RANKING THE UNIVERSITY IS IN 4TH PLACE IN THE BROAD SUBJECT AREA 'SOCIAL SCIENCES MANAGEMENT'. AMONG THE RANKINGS FOR INDIVIDUAL SUBJECTS, BOCCONI IS 3RD IN EUROPE, AND 7TH IN THE WORLD, FOR 'BUSINESS MANAGEMENT'

In the new QS World University Rankings by Subject, dedicated to the best universities in the world in 5 broad subject areas and 48 different subjects, Bocconi has confirmed and improved its high positions in one of the most complete academic rankings. QS assesses academic reputation, scientific production and quality of graduates, and Bocconi has set itself among the top 5 European universities in all its subject areas.

Bocconi’s rankings:

Social Sciences & Management: 4th in Europe, 16th in the world

Individual subjects:

- Business & Management: 3rd in Europe, 7th world

- Accounting & Finance: 5th in Europe, 17th in the world

- Economics & Econometrics: 4th in Europe, 16th in the world

The ranking elaborated by QS, the international network dedicated to education and the professions, was created by evaluating four parameters: academic reputation based on the opinion of academics (94,000 worldwide); quality of graduates based on the opinion of more than 44,000 recruiters; research citations per paper and the H-Index, which measures the number and impact of research publications.

"It is always a great satisfaction to be confirmed, and to grow, in this comprehensive ranking covering different areas of our activity and to see that we are recognized both on the academic front and on the market (with the reputation among recruiters)," comments Stefano Caselli, Dean for International Affairs. "In the Social Sciences and Management broad subject area, it should be noted, we confirm our first place in continental Europe, below only the British universities LSE, Oxford and Cambridge".
