Bocconi: How the Organization Is Changing

, by Barbara Orlando
Service, continuous learning, digital innovation: Riccardo Taranto, Managing Director of the university in Milan, presents the new organizational model of the staff

The development of best practices in management, digital innovation and continuous learning. These principles are the inspiration for the evolution of the organizational model of the Bocconi University staff. "Organizations are living organisms that over time develop and find different assets to better meet the needs of different external and internal stakeholders: from students to professors, from corporate, institutional and academic partners to alumni," explains Riccardo Taranto, Managing Director of the University. "With the new structure, all of us will work even more effectively and efficiently toward the aim of providing support that is increasingly attuned to the achievement of the University's overall goals."

The new organization focuses on people and their professional growth by promoting continuous learning and job rotation paths for staff, with a further strengthening of the level of internationalization.

The team of managers who collaborate directly with the Managing Director has been strengthened with new skills and professionalism. The first entry into the University is Maurizio Mongardi, who will lead the new HR & Operation area and whose tasks are: to promote innovation and the quality of the services provided, to develop resources and internal skills, and to ensure the efficient and effective coordination of internal operation activities and processes.

"In welcoming Mongardi, a manager with international experience garnered in listed companies operating in very diversified sectors," concludes Taranto, "I take this opportunity to thank the managers and all the Bocconi staff who in the few months since my arrival have enabled me to complete a rapid but very thorough apprenticeship. I wish you all fruitful and satisfying work."
