Leadership at Bocconi Renewed

Provasoli named new Chairman, Guatri named Honorary Chairman and Cucchiani confirmed as Vice Chairman at Istituto Javotte Bocconi. President Monti and Rector Verona confirmed at the University. The search for a new Managing Director is now underway

The Istituto Javotte Bocconi – "Amici della Bocconi" Association and Bocconi University bodies met recently to define the University's governance for the coming years.

After the Assembly and the Board on 11 June, and recognizing Prof. Luigi Guatri's desire to be relieved of the office of Chairman, Istituto Javotte Bocconi thanked him for his fruitful work over 13 years as Chairman and named him Honorary Chairman. Succeeding him in the office of Chairman for 2018-2020 is Prof. Angelo Provasoli. Enrico Cucchiani was confirmed as Vice Chairman.

Bocconi University

The Istituto Javotte Bocconi Board, which has the responsibility of appointing the President and the majority of members of the Bocconi University Board, confirmed Prof. Mario Monti as President of the University Board for 2018-2022. The other board members to be appointed by Istituto Javotte Bocconi for the same period will be named shortly.

During today's meeting, upon the proposal of the President, Prof. Monti, the Bocconi University Board unanimously confirmed Prof. Gianmario Verona as Rector for the 2018-2020 academic years. The Board expressed great appreciation for his impactful work as Rector during the past two years.

President Monti also announced to the Board that a search for a new Managing Director is currently in progress. The new Managing Director will succeed Mr Bruno Pavesi, who – after holding the role with strong commitment and effectiveness for 11 years – has expressed the desire not to be reappointed.
