Europeans: Bocconi and Boroli Foundation Team up to Side with Youth

, by Fabio Todesco
A three year cooperation will allow students to actively participate in the debate on European Union, by writing papers and being guest speakers at a series of three conferences, alongside experts and opinion leaders

Europe needs more and more Europe, and the true believers in this are university students, as stated by a Associazione universitaria di studi europei survey, showing that 68% of them think that European Union is not talked about enough in universities.

Other true believers are Università Bocconi and Achille and Giulia Boroli Foundation, that are launching Europeans: giornate bocconiane sull'Europa, a three-year cooperation aimed not only to engage students in the debate on Europe, but also to bring them center stage.

A different European topic will be tackled every year, sustaining people's attention through a succession of a seminar, a paper and a conference.

Kick-off will be on 12 October with a seminar on the European Banking Union. The topic will be analyzed in both financial and legal aspects, thanks to a scientific committee including Lorenzo Cuocolo, professor of comparative public law and responsible for the series, Luigi Arturo Bianchi, professor of company and business law, Donato Masciandaro, professor of economics, and Elena Carletti, professor of banking.

During the seminar a call will be announced for a paper on the European Banking Union, reserved for Bocconi students and graduates. The author of the paper selected by the scientific committee will present it at the Annual Europeans Conference, to be held in Spring.
