Speed MI Up Doubles up: Incubator Year Two

THE INCUBATOR FOUNDED BY BOCCONI, MILAN'S CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE CITY OF MILAN WELCOMED FIVE NEW STARTUPS AND TWO PROFESSIONALS WITH INNOVATIVE PLANS. THEY WILL ENJOY SUPPORT, CONSULTANCY AND SPACES TO GIVE THEIR IDEAS A LEG UP

Five startups and two professionals with innovative plans have been welcomed this afternoon into Speed MI Up, the incubator founded by Bocconi, the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Milan. The initiative thus started its second year of activity.

WeMoney combines buying group, coupon marketing, network marketing and mobile advertising, in a way conceived for small and micro enterprises. Smeraldo Meminaj, 23 years old, is the leader of the managing group.

Fabs is the idea of a group led by Fabio Zuanazzi, 46 years old. They want to offer a wide range of consumer products for children at a very low cost without being detrimental to quality and safety.

Junto Italy aims to offer business information services to corporate customers thanks to a database and a proprietary scoring system capable of assessing the competitive position of a company in its micro-industry. Alessandro Calcagni, 39 years, is the pivotal figure of the group.

Thinkalize is a virtual marketplace and crowdsourcing collaborative platform for industrial design. The group of budding entrepreneurs, led by Nicoletta Grumelli (33 years old) wants to “simplify the industrial design market”.

SpeedyPlan is a service which manages and optimizes goods delivery in a network of pick-up and drop-off points, based on an algorithm accessible from the web. According to the startuppers, led by Dario Zamboni (47 years old) the system has already been tested.

Andrea Alessi, 29, is a professional who wants to help SMEs manage the taxes of their foreign branch offices.

Matteo Gustinetti, 31, wants to help SMEs manage fundraising and public financing programs.

The entrepreneurs have been welcomed by Cristina Tajani, city minister for Labour, Alberto Meomartini (deputy chairman of the Chamber of commerce and chairman of Speed MI Up), and Bruno Pavesi, CEO of Università Bocconi, along with Speed Mi Up’s managing director, Fausto Pasotti.
