Luca de Meo Is the New CEO and President of Renault

The Bocconi Alumnus, appointed by the Group's board of directors by virtue of his career, experience and performance, will take office from 1 July

The French automotive group Renault has a new, Italian leader: from 1 July, the Alumnus Bocconi Luca de Meo will take on the role of CEO and president of the Group. De Meo was appointed by Renault's board of directors at the end of a selection process conducted by the governance and remuneration committee, by virtue of his career, experience and performance. Previously, he was CEO of SEAT and held leadership and top positions in Volkswagen, Audi, Fiat and Toyota.

In 2017 he was named Alumnus Bocconi of the year, the recognition assigned by the Bocconi Alumni Community to alumni who have distinguished themselves for adhering to the values of the University: "To have been a student of this University has always been a source of personal pride, but also a great opportunity, "he said on the occasion of the appointment as Alumnus of the year. "Bocconi has opened up a world for me, it has made me understand how high the bar was and what difference there was between the B League and the Champions League".
