A Bocconi Alumna as New Dean of Kellogg School of Management

FORMERLY FULL PROFESSOR AT LONDON BUSINESS SCHOOL, FRANCESCA CORNELLI GRADUATED FROM BOCCONI IN 1987

The new head of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University is a Bocconi alumna. Francesca Cornelli, formerly a Professor of Finance and Deputy Degree Education at London Business School (LSB), has just been appointed Dean of the famous U.S. business school. Her tenure will start on August 1, 2019. In addition to the position of Dean, Prof Cornelli will also hold the Donald P. Jacobs Chair of Finance.

Francesca Cornelli is member of the Bocconi Class of 1987 (Economic and Social Sciences). She went on to become the first female full professor at the London Business School, where she also directed Private Equity at LBS, a research center of the English business school specializing in private equity, venture capital and crowdfunding. Furthermore, in 2016, she helped create AFFECT (Academic Female Finance Committee), established by the American Finance Association to promote the presence of women in financial research.
