The Bocconi Alumni Community Heads for its First Board Election

FROM 27 TO 29 JANUARY, THE FIRST ROUND OF VOTING FOR NEW GOVERNANCE WILL BE HELD. TO BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE, ALUMNI MUST AGREE TO THE REGULATIONS AND THE VALUES OF THE COMMUNITY BY 25 JANUARY

The new Bocconi Alumni Community is moving towards its first elections for the renewal of its Board. From January 27 to 1pm on January 29, alumni will be able to vote to replace three outgoing members in 2019. They will have a choice of 43 candidates who have submitted their candidacies online to the community, and will vote exclusively via this platform. In order to vote, alumni must first agree to the regulations and values of the Community within 25 January (by filling out this form; membership is absolutely free).

The Bocconi Alumni Community Board consists of a president, a vice-president who is chosen from the on-campus alumni and 18 members, 6 chosen by the University and 12 by the community of alumni. Of these, 6 are renewed every year according to two parallel methods: the election of 3 members by the community and the nomination of another 3 by an ad hoc committee on the suggestion and proposal of the community itself (here is all information on the Board election system). Overall, the Board should be formed of at least 1/4 women, 1/5 alumni with a professional base abroad and at least two members who have been alumni for less than five years.

"The election of the new Alumni Board is a concrete example of the values of inclusion and internationality of the new Bocconi Alumni Community", Director Elena Gelosa explains. "The enthusiastic response, the passion and the kaleidoscope of experiences of the 43 candidates are the tangible sign of a lively community with a strong heartbeat. Voting is a great way to make your voice heard. #Everyonematters!"
