Bocconi Alumni Gather in Paris to Discuss the Trends which are Transforming Society

Artificial intelligence, fintech, population ageing, the digital corporation, green finance – great changes that are transforming our society and our way of working and living and which open up to new risks but also new opportunities. All big topics that will be discussed when Bocconi's international community gathers in Paris this Friday, June 8, to discuss together with leading international managers and academics.

The occasion will be the fifth Global Conference of the Bocconi alumni – an event that combines continuous learning, community-building and networking, which since 2013 involves the entire Bocconi community with conferences organized in Asia, America and Europe, touching all the major regions where Bocconians are present. This year it will be held under the Eiffel Tower, on June 8 and 9, with discussion concentrated around the five major trends that are transforming business and society today.

To discuss with the participants and Bocconi faculty on the topics of artificial intelligence, fintech, demography, innovation and sustainability there will be, among others, Francesca Bellettini (CEO, Yves Saint Laurent), Aldo Bisio (CEO Vodafone Italia), Laurent Massoulie (Director Microsoft Research-Inria Joint Centre), Andrea Munari (CEO and General Manager, BNL-BNP Paribas), Diego Piacentini (Commissioner for the Implementation of Italy's Digital Agenda), Davide Serra (CEO and CIO, Algebris) and Thibaud Simphal (Regional General Manager,Western & Southern Europe, Uber). Friday's event will close with a gala dinner introduced by Mario Monti, President of Bocconi, which will see the speech by Sylvie Goulard, Deputy Governor of Banque de France, on the topic 'How green finance can foster sustainable development'.

"After Singapore, New York, London and Shanghai, this year we are in Paris – apart from being an important opportunity for learning and debate, the idea of the conference is to give a sign of Bocconi's proximity to the Bocconi alumni, and various chapters, around the world, and share that strong sense of belonging that they have. The Bocconi alumni network has immense value and potential."
