MSc in Finance: Bocconi Confirmed in FT's Worldwide Top 10

, by Tomaso Eridani
The school places 8th in the World in the Financial Times ranking thanks, among other factors, to the strong success of graduates in the job market and the efficacy of the Career Service

Graduates all find employment within 3 months of graduation, thanks in large part to the effectiveness of a Career Service judged by alumni as the 5th best in the World. Plus, 3 years after graduation, their salaries have increased on average by 72%. These are some of the indicators that helped Bocconi's Master of Finance confirm its place in the worldwide top 10 of the 2018 Global Masters in Finance ranking, published today by the Financial Times.

The program evaluated by the British newspaper on the basis of 19 criteria, and which placed 8th in the ranking, is the Master of Science in Finance, taught in English and directed by Massimo Guidolin. The program delves into all the key areas of the world of finance - investment banking, corporate finance and advisory, quantitative finance, risk management, derivatives and asset pricing. Teaching is balanced between theory and applied practice, and is enhanced with case studies, group assignments, lab sessions using special software and simulated trading sessions.

"The ranking of Master in Finance programs is among the most prestigious and competitive at international level," comments Stefano Caselli, Dean for International Affairs at Bocconi. "The constant presence of Bocconi in the top echelon in recent years represents a clear recognition of the value of this program of excellence, in which the quality of the courses, the preparation of the students and their successful placement are undisputed strong points."
