The winning groups of the challenge launched by the insurance company and the university will participate in the AXA annual event and some students will also have the opportunity to carry out an internship at AXA Italia

On December 18, the six winning groups of the AXA challenge, a competition reserved for students enrolled in the MSc in Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology and called upon to re-design the insurance of the future, will participate in the AXA Forum, an annual event of the insurance company whose main theme will be innovation. On this occasion, one of the students will present their experience and the project of their group. In addition, some students will be offered the opportunity to carry out an internship at AXA Italia.

"The students have already presented their ideas - on which they had worked for three months - in front of AXA representatives and Bocconi faculty," explains Paola Zanella, professor of Technology and Innovation Strategy. "This was an educational experience for them, as they found themselves meeting tight deadlines and having to sell their ideas at their best through a short and effective pitch. They were all very well prepared and professional".

"I found it very useful to work in team," adds Matteo Hu, student, "My group was made up of two German, two Italian-Chinese, an Italo-Egyptian and an Italian student. It was very stimulating to work together, we become more and more passionate about the project and we found ourselves working in the library twice a week even until 10pm. The challenge was an excellent learning opportunity for us in many ways".

The winning ideas are: "Homely", platform that harmonizes all smart home devices and manages all home-related insurance products; "Trust Sharing", platform that provides insurance related to the car-sharing market; "Joy", app that allows you to receive reminders of all necessary healthcare activities, to book medical exams, and also tracks and transfers all your medical data; "Parametric", that provides insurance related to the agriculture market," Ins & Go", a mobile platform that allows you to purchase sports insurance policies and have access to news, events and selected products related to the world of sport. AXA also decided to reward a sixth project, defined as disruptive: "Tinsurance", a policy based on the habit of young people to use online dating platforms, which wants to cover the main risks related to sexual assault.
