, by Fabio Todesco
The European Investment Bank supports the Long Term Investments and Public Private Partnership course and awards a grant to a research program on EU financing policy for social infrastructures

Fabio Gallia, CEO of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, will open, on Tuesday 3 October, a series of open lectures of the course Long-Term Investments and Public-Private Partnership, which represents one of the results of the partnership agreement between Università Bocconi and the European Investment Bank (EIB), signed in March 2017.

Following the agreement - coordinated on Bocconi's behalf by Veronica Vecchi, a professor of Public Management and expert in public-private partnerships, and on behalf of EIB by Fulceri Bruni Roccia, director of the EIBI Knowledge Programme, and coordinator of Luxembourg's Bocconi Alumni Association chapter - the EIB has awarded support to the Long-Term Investments and Public-Private Partnership course, which will host seven lectures open to the entire Bocconi community.

After Gallia, the speakers for the subsequent lectures will be Guy Chetrit (European PPP Expertise Centre, European Investment Bank), Iliyana Tsanova (Deputy General Director EFSI, Juncker Plan, European Investment Bank), Massimo Mondazzi (CFO, Eni gas e luce), Dario Scannapieco (Vice President, European Investment Bank), Helmut Kramer-Eis (Head of Research & Market Analysis, European Investment Fund), and Giulio Ranzo (CEO, Avio). In addition, as part of the same agreement, EIB Institute awarded SDA Bocconi the grant "EU Financing Policy in the Social Infrastructure Sectors: Implications for the EIB's sector and lending policy", coordinated by Prof. Vecchi. Other researchers participating in the project will be Niccolò Cusumano and Francesca Casalini from SDA Bocconi and Mark Hellowell from University of Edinburgh.

The results of the research program will be made available to the High Level Task Force on Social Infrastructure, set up by the European Association of Long-Term Investors (ELTI) and led by Romano Prodi. The coordinator of this research activity for EIB is another Bocconi alumnus, Guido Bichisao, director of EIB's Institutional Strategy Department.
