International Management students met Byron Trott, founder and president of BTD Company, specialized in investments to support family and founder led companies

A behind the scenes look at the private equity world was given to the students of International Management, thanks to a meeting with Byron Trott. He is founder and president of BTD & Company, a merchant bank specializing in private equity investments in family businesses and founder-led companies. The meeting took place as part of the International Finance course held by Stefano Caselli within the Master of Science in International Management.

Trott discussed the skills and competences needed to work in the world of investment banking and private equity, the evolution of the industry, investment best practices, how private equity creates value and the peculiarities of the activity of his merchant bank , specialized in financing family businesses.

Mariafrancesca Carli, managing director of BTD & Company and alumna Bocconi, and James C. Stephen, executive chairman of Weber-Stephen Products, also participated in the discussion.
