Sixteen New Entries for the Faculty in 2014/2015

This year many new resources will enrich the teaching faculty of Bocconi University in the name of internationality

Sixteen are the new professors who arrive at Bocconi University in the academic year 2014-2015 to enrich all eight departments of the University. They come from the most prestigious universities of Europe and the World and will strengthen Bocconi's faculty with their personal experiences and skills.

The Nobel Prize winner Michael Spence becomes a Senior Professor of Economics at Università Bocconi, after three years of affiliation with SDA Bocconi School of Management. Fabiano Schivardi, who joins the Department of Finance, is the professor selected through an international search to hold the Rodolfo Debenedetti Chair in Entrepreneurship. Other three full professors are joining Bocconi: Jérôme Adda from European University Institute, Miles Gietzmann from Cass Business School and Massimo Morelli from Columbia University.

Among the new names of the 2014-2015 acquisition campaign, there are three Adjunct Professors: for the Department of Finance, Enrico Biffis from Imperial College London and Fabio Trojani from the Università della Svizzera Italiana and, for the Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management, Giunia Valeria Gatta from Columbia University.

Seven are the Assistant Professors coming to reinforce the rows of Via Sarfatti's faculty: three for the Department of Policy Analisys and Public Management, Piero Stanig from the Hertie School of Management, Tamás Vonyó from the London School of Economics and, already from last March, Italo Colantone from Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Starting in March 2013 Miriam Allena also officially entered the Department of Legal Studies as an Assistant Professor, while the Department of Management and Technology has recruited Ekaterina Netchaeva from the Univeristy of Utah and Burak Oç from Pompeu Fabra. Two are, finally, the Assistant Professors for the Department of Decision Sciences: Sarah Auster from the European University Institute and Isadora Antoniano Villalobos who had already joined Bocconi as a lecturer and teaching assistant.
