The SDA Bocconi and Rotman GEMBA debuts in QS Top 10

THE GLOBAL EXECUTIVE MBA IN PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO SCHOOLS ENTERS AT 10TH PLACE IN THE RANKING OF THE BEST JOINT PROGRAMS IN THE WORLD

A highly positive debut for the Rotman-SDA Bocconi Global Executive MBA in the ranking of the best Executive MBA Joint Programs compiled by QS, which sees the program enter at 10th place. The positioning of the program, offered jointly by SDA Bocconi and the Rotman School of Management in Toronto, was achieved thanks, among other things, to the reputation the two schools enjoy internationally in the academic world and among companies, as well as to the diversity of the participants.

The programs in the QS ranking are in fact evaluated on the basis of criteria based on Career Outcomes, based on salary increase and career progress of alumni, Diversity, in terms of gender and nationality of participants, Employer Reputation, based on the evaluation of employers around the world, the Executive Profile of participants, years of work experience and managerial level, and Academic Reputation, thanks to the opinions of about 100,000 academics around the world.

The program earned particularly positive ratings in the Employer Reputation and Academic Reputation categories, a reflection of the high reputation the two schools enjoy internationally, and also stands out for the diversity of its participants, ranking 6th in the world in that category.

"Global EMBA programs represent the most difficult and challenging competitive environment in which the world's leading business schools are measured," comments Giuseppe Soda, Dean of SDA Bocconi. "Our first ranking among the top ten in the world fills us with pride and spurs us on to do even better for the future."

"With the Rotman-SDA Bocconi GEMBA, we first ensured the internationality of the program by choosing to work with a partner school, with whom we have been working for some time, that is international but from North America. Secondly, we admitted a class with a high diversity -  geographic, cultural and professional experience," comments Ferdinando Pennarola, GEMBA Director at SDA Bocconi. "Finally, our program concretely addresses the challenges of the global world with a structure in modules in 7 major metropolitan areas of the world. There is nothing more effective than learning about global challenges in a way that is contextual to life experience throughout the modules."

A general management program designed for managers operating in international contexts, the Rotman-SDA Bocconi Global Executive MBA, kicking off with its first edition in 2019, combines the expertise and perspectives of a leading business school in Europe and one in North America. The study course includes modules in several major international business hubs, including Milan, Toronto, Shanghai, Mumbai, San Francisco and Sao Paulo.
