A New Growth Based on Sustainability and Inclusiveness

EMMA MARCEGAGLIA, PRESIDENT AND CEO MARCEGAGLIA GROUP AND BOCCONI ALUMNA, TALKS WITH RECTOR GIANMARIO VERONA IN THE LATEST EXECUTIVE CHATS

“The pandemic made us face unprecedented challenges. We became more resilient and agile and the most important thing was to stay close to our people. We will come out stronger and more resilient,” sustains Emma Marcegaglia, President & CEO Marcegaglia Group and Bocconi alumna, in a conversation in the Executive Chats series with Rector Gianmario Verona.

Regards the upcoming B20 Forum, of which she is President, she says “we want to support a move towards a different type of growth – more sustainable and inclusive.”

And business schools also must help “to teach business people that we have to commit to sustainability and inclusiveness. And teach them to be open-minded and fast in facing uncertainty.”

She believes education is also “key to closing the gender gap. We have to teach female leadership. “
