Young Leadership for the Non Profit World

CRISTINA POZZI WAS GIVEN THE AWARD OF 2019 YOUNG GLOBAL LEADER BY THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

Before her, business celebrities like Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Ma or performing artists like Roberto Bolle received the same kind of acknowledgement. We are talking about Cristina Pozzi, a 37 year-old social entrepreneur and lecturer, who graduated in Business Administration and Law from Bocconi in 2004, and was chosen as Young Global Leader 2019 from a list of personalities under 40 drafted by the non-profit community of the World Economic Forum.

"It is an international acknowledgement that makes me proud, also because in order to obtain it you must go through a rigorous selection process, which starts with an initial alert, continues online and leads to a final personal interview". Cristina Pozzi, a Milanese who now lives in Verona, after a few years doing consulting and a first entrepreneurial experience with Wishdays in 2006, is co-founder, with Andrea Dusi, of Impactscool, “It's a company that has two souls, a not-for-profit soul and a for-profit one. Our task is to prepare new generations to deal with the future and in particular digital technologies and their social impact in coming years", she explains. “The non-profit wing mainly targets schools, where we train teachers and talk to students to help them identify their path towards higher education and training. Since February 2017 we have organized over 250 free workshops, which saw the participation of about 11,000 students, and now we are keeping a pace of over a workshop a day. On the profit side, instead, we work with companies, designing training courses on the use of emerging technologies.”

As Young Global Leader, Cristina will have the opportunity to participate in exclusive events all over the world, meet high-profile personalities, and enrich her knowledge: "On June 1st we held our first event in China. When people coming from different experiences and forms of training are brought together, great ideas and projects can be born. I hope to be able to draw out something useful also for Impactscool, especially for its future expansion abroad, an opportunity that needs to be seized if we are to have an even greater social impact.”
