A Team of Bocconi Students in Vancouver for the NIBC Final

PIERLUIGI, DANILO, DANIELE P. AND DANIELE F. MAKE UP ONE OF THE 60 FINALIST TEAMS OF THE NATIONAL INVESTMENT BANKING COMPETITION

Among the more than 1,600 candidates divided into 500 teams from universities from all over the world, the one composed of Bocconi students Pierluigi Decorato, Daniele Fanciano, Danilo Miraglia (International Management), Daniele Pascal (Management), is one of the 60 finalist teams of the National Investment Banking Competition (NIBC), whose final phase will be held in Vancouver, Canada, from March 13 to 15.

"The competition is focused on the financial evaluation of a company", explains Daniele Fanciano. "In particular, the preliminary analysis was focused on the evaluation of an American company in the fashion and luxury sector, which we have developed also thanks to the competences acquired at Bocconi," he continues. "The strengths of our analysis lies in the in-depth research of data and also in our final recommendations, which do not limit themselves to explaining what the future of the company is, but also suggest some expansion strategies".

The path was not without obstacles, because when they decided to participate and started with the first researches, Pierluigi, Danilo and Daniele P. were on an exchange in France (in different universities), and once back it was the time for Daniele F. to fly to the US for his exchange semester. "We were very understanding with each other, coordinating our work on the basis of each other's commitments," says Pierluigi. "Participating is a  great opportunity for us to expand our knowledge in the financial field and to confront ourselves with other teams of international students.”
