Tell Me About yourself, Professor, and I will Tell You What You Teach

ONE CAMERA, 32 QUESTIONS AND 22 FACULTY MEMBERS, ONE FOR EACH BOCCONI DEGREE PROGRAM. IT IS #DOTELLBOCCONI, THE INITIATIVE TO DESCRIBE THE EDUCATIONAL OFFER THROUGH THE IDEALS, HABITS AND FUN FACTS ABOUT PROFESSORS

Call some professors, put them in front of a camera and ask them a burst of 32 questions. What better way to understand the true essence of a degree program? This is the purpose of the 22 #DoTellBocconi videos, in which 22 faculty members - one for each course of study offered by Bocconi University- reveal themselves by answering 32 questions. The queries range from personal curiosities to information about their respective programs, but are asked in an original and carefree way.

It turns out that Fulvio Ortu (Finance), as a child, dreamed of becoming a marine. Donato Masciandaro (Economics and Finance) can’t stand receiving bottles of wine because he is a teetotaler, while the worst gift received by Damiano Canale (Law) was an encyclopedia that he never opened. Massimo Magni compares the program in International Management to the film "Back to the Future" because "there’s adventure and science and it’s also fun", while for Carlo Altomonte the degree in Economics and Management of Government and International Organizations is like a pan of lasagna, "layers and layers of skills that create the perfect dish of knowledge". Chiara Fumagalli (International Economics and Finance) sings "Heroes" by David Bowie in the shower, while Nicoletta Corrocher (Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology) sings "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen... and she's not ashamed to do it even in front of the camera!

Not to mention that Maristella Botticini (Economic and Social Sciences) is a wild dancer. The exam that Ariela Caglio (International Economics and Management) found most difficult as a student was Math, while for Vincenzo Galasso (International Politics and Government) and Paola Dubini (Economics and Management for Art, Culture and Communication), it was Private Law. Paola Galbiati (Company Economics and Legislation) could never live without her dog, while Silvia Bagdadli (Management) says she could not live without dreaming. Cesare Conti (Accounting, Financial Management and Control), would like to have done an Erasmus stint in Sydney while Paola Profeta (Politics and Policy Analysis) would have chosen Barcelona. Giulia Cappellaro believes that the right motto of Economics and Management in Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment is "Creativity is the peak of an iceberg made of passion, commitment and daily work". If Zachary Estes (Marketing Management) were the protagonist of a novel, he would have surely been Peter Pan. Riccardo Zecchina (Data Science and Business Analytics) instead sees himself more like Mr. Walter White. For Marco Tortoriello (Business Economics and Management), the best quality for students is "being able to change their mind when you show them things from a different perspective" and that Eliana La Ferrara (Economic and Social Sciences) can’t stand students texting during her lectures.

Andrea Colli's obsession (World Bachelor in Business) is to check the Swiss weather forecasting site compulsively, while Antonio Lijoi's (Economics, Management and Computer Science) is the weight of a portion of spaghetti : “never above 80 grams!”. Watch the video to get the short version with a selection of answers, and get the full 32 answers for each professor in the “People” section of Via Sarfatti 25.
