See the Future of Entrepreneurship at Bocconi #StartupDay

AN AWARD, A MARKETPLACE FOR FINANCING NEWCOS AND A SERIES OF TALKS ON NOVEMBER 21: THAT'S BOCCONI INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT ENTREPRENEURSHIP, IN COLLABORATION WITH CITI FOUNDATION. AND A QUESTION: CAN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PREDICT THE SUCCESS OF A STARTUP?

Artificial intelligence can be used to try to predict the success of a startup. Gaia Rubera, Full Professor of Marketing, will explain how it’s possible in one of the talks of Bocconi #StartupDay (Tuesday 21 November, 9:30am, Foyer of the Aula Magna, via Roentgen 1). The #StartupDay, an initiative to support entrepreneurship at its third edition, is realized in collaboration with Citi Foundation as part of their #pathways2progress initiative.

The morning includes the presentation of a joint initiative by Bocconi and Politecnico di Milano on entrepreneurship and startups, a series of talks on the hot topics of the sector (financing tools, startup management techniques, innovation in fintech and the use of artificial intelligence to assess the prospects of a startup) and the prize-giving of the #StartupDay Award, reserved for the best new Italian companies. (CLICK HERE for the complete program).

In the afternoon, the 39 startups selected in the past few months by a commission will take part in the Marketplace, a series of meetings with potential investors, reserved for the most promising new companies linked, in some way, to Bocconi. This year 12 of the companies come from the Bocconi incubator, Speed MI Up, 8 have a University alumnus in the entrepreneurial team, 6 have an alumnus from SDA Bocconi School of Management, 4 include students from Bocconi, 4 include students from SDA Bocconi, 3 have participated in the University's StartUp Training program and 2 have been selected among those who took part, this summer, in Campus Party.
