SDA Bocconi Enters The Economist's European Top 5

IN THE RANKING OF THE BEST MBA PROGRAMS IN THE WORLD THE SCHOOL GAINS 10 POSITIONS AND PLACES 5TH IN EUROPE

Valued for its teaching and personal experience and for its ability to open new professional and networking opportunities, the MBA of SDA Bocconi School of Management obtained a placing in the European top 5 in the 2017 ranking of the best full-time MBA programs published by The Economist. In the list of the 100 best programs in the world, SDA Bocconi – the only Italian school making the cut – in fact placed 28th worldwide (+10 positions) and 5th in Europe (+5 positions).

The ranking is based 50% on data supplied by the schools and 50% on the evaluations provided by current students and recent graduates. The criteria analyzed cover four main categories: new career opportunity openings, personal development and the educational experience, salary increase after the MBA and the potential for networking.

"The Economist's assessment is one of the most complete because it takes into account the value of training but also the development of the person. This latter aspect is highly valued by SDA Bocconi in part through the introduction in the program of coaching and soft skills activities," comments Stefano Gatti, Director of the MBA from 2014 until the 2016-2017 edition. "Among the parameters also considered are the new professional opportunities that open for graduates, the value of the faculty, and of networking with the alumni network. Being in the top five means obtaining a good performance in all these parameters and thus being sure of offering our students a program that can speed up their careers."

SDA Bocconi has proven itself once again as the only Italian school present in all the most important international rankings. Last month its MBA program ranked as the 5th best 1-year program in the world (among non-American business schools) according to Forbes and placed 9th in Europe in the Financial Times ranking.
