Kazakh Students in Bocconi and SDA with the Bolashak Scholarships

THE UNIVERSITY AND BUSINESS SCHOOL AMONG THE 200 BEST INSTITUTIONS WORLDWIDE SELECTED BY THE KAZAKH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TO SUPPORT POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS

Bocconi has joined the group of leading universities eligible to receive students from the Republic of Kazakhstan supported by the Bolashak scholarships funded by the Kazakh government. Thanks to the scholarships, which cover tuition fees and living and travel expenses, the best Kazakh students will be able to attend Master of Science and PhD programs at Bocconi University and specialized masters in English at SDA Bocconi School of Management.

The Bolashak (meaning ‘future’ in Kazakh) Scholarship Program was initiated in 1994 by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to support the most talented Kazakhs in pursuing higher education at leading universities around the world. Every year the Kazakh Government selects between 1000 and 1500 recipients to attend postgraduate programs (MSc, MA and PhD) in the accredited universities.

Among the eligible SDA programs are the Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master in Fashion, Experience & Design Management (MAFED), Master of Management in Food & Beverage (MFB), Master of International Health Care Management, Economics and Policy (MIHMEP) and Master in Arts Management and Administration (MAMA).

Applications can be submitted in the following periods: 11 April to 13 May, 13 June to 29 July and 15 August to 30 September. Scholarships will be awarded from May 2016 to January 2017.

For details on selection criteria and deadlines it is possible to consult the official Bolashak Program website (www.bolashak.gov.kz/kz/)
