Award Winning Film to Inaugurate the New Film Festival

, by Davide Ripamonti
Scheduled for 8 February, Birdman is the first movie in the festival's spring edition. At the event organized by the Language Center, films are screened in their original language

Now in its thirteenth edition, the Movies & Languages Film Festival, organized by the Bocconi University Language Center, is growing. After the success of past editions, the event is moving to the Via Gobbi Aula Magna. The initiative was created to allow anyone in the Bocconi community – students, faculty and staff – to expand their linguistic skills and knowledge of other cultures by watching movies in their original language.

Each film is introduced by a language teacher and is accompanied by a synopsis card with a linguistic overview and a monolingual glossary. The Festival's first screening in the spring semester is set for Monday 8 February at 8:30pm, with a showing of Birdman. The 2014 masterpiece, directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu and starring Michael Keaton, Emma Stone and Edward Norton, took home four Oscars.

Admission is free but seats are limited.
