Bocconi Conquers Europe in the Financial Times Ranking

Bocconi has moved up one spot to sixth place in Europe in the ranking of rankings published today by the Financial Times.

The British newspaper creates the ranking by using results from four of the five classifications they produce every year. One is on Master of Science programs in Finance (which, however does not influence today's ranking) and one on MSc programs in International Management. Bocconi's programs placed 9^th and 11^th, respectively, worldwide. Financial Times also has three different rankings of the executive education offered by the SDA Bocconi School of Management, particularly the MBA (9^th in Europe), the Executive MBA (36^th in Europe) and management courses as a whole (5^th in Europe for custom programs).

"In recent years, Bocconi has continually and systematically, with the work set out by the previous rector Andrea Sironi and his team, invested in internationalization of teaching, building programs that are able to meet new demands of the job market and educating generations of young people who know how to interpret the real world and improve it," says Gianmario Verona, Rector of Bocconi. "Today's announcement is the result of this continuous pressure towards improvement and innovation. It is in our DNA, and that is why in the future we will continue in our project of making Bocconi a university of reference in Europe for students and researchers. We will do this by focusing increasingly on human capital and the close link between cutting edge research and teaching, where a solid foundation in data science is being introduced."

The FT ranking marks the close of a positive year for Bocconi, the only Italian school included in all the most important international rankings: from the World University Rankings, published by Times Higher Education, where Bocconi debuted at 8^th place in Europe in the area of Business & Economics, to the QS rankings (6^th in Europe for Business & Management, 5^th for Economics and Econometrics and 7^th for Finance & Accounting). And, for The Economist, in 2016 the MBA made the top ten in Europe.
