In the ranking of the best universities by faculty, Bocconi moves up four places, part of another round of positive feedback from the professionals who evaluate insititutions of higher education

Bocconi has moved another step forward in the international rankings. In the ranking by faculty of the World University Rankings 2014, published today, the University moved up four places compared to last year, out of the universities specialized in Social Sciences and Management, placing 25th in the world and 6th in Europe.

The ranking, produced by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the international network focused on education and the professions, is based on academic reputation and the reputation of graduates, plus the ratio of citations to faculty members, the student-teacher ratio and the proportion of international students and faculty. Bocconi, as a specialized university, can only participate in the specialized ranking by faculty and not in the overall ranking.

"This new important acknowledgement is a source of great satisfaction since competition is very high and the criteria used by QS are very diversified," comments Stefano Caselli, Bocconi's Vice Rector for International Affairs. "The position obtained testifies to the continuing ability of Bocconi to answer the challenges that an international university must face: the reputation of its researchers, the quality of graduates recognized by employers and the presence of an international faculty. As with the Financial Times ranking published yesterday, this represents a further acknowledgement of the effort made by Bocconi to render its programs attractive for students who are looking for a global and valuable prospective in all the various components of a study program."

In the ranking of the best Masters in Management of the Financial Times published yesterday, Bocconi moved up 5 places to leap to 12th in the world.
