A scholarship in memory of Alberto: the Alberto Alesina Young Economists Award

THE AWARD WILL SUPPORT ONE STUDENT PER YEAR OF BOCCONI'S MSC IN ECONOMICS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES IN MEMORY OF HIS ATTENTION TO THE NEW GENERATIONS OF ECONOMISTS

Alberto Alesina was not only the innovative economist who made a frontier contribution to economic theory. He was also the man who had given himself the mission of contributing to the growth of the new generations of economists. To honor his role as a guide for young people and to actively contribute to their education in economics, Alesina's family and lifelong friends decided to honor his memory by starting a fundraiser for the establishment of the Alberto Alesina Young Economists Award, a   scholarship program dedicated to students of the Master of Science in Economics  and Social Sciences (ESS) of Bocconi University.

The Alberto Alesina Young Economists Award, which aims to support one student per year, will take the form of a total waiver of tuition and fees.
