Andrea Resti Appointed as ECON Consultant

THE BOCCONI PROFESSOR WILL SUPPORT THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT ON BANKING UNION ISSUES

Andrea Resti (Department of Finance), has been appointed as a consultant on banking supervision for the European Parliament in Strasbourg. “My task is to support the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON). In particular, I’ll aid its Banking Union Working Group (BUWG), providing independent consultancy on Banking Union issues, especially on the single banking supervisory mechanism”, explains Resti. “I’ve been assigned this role after some months of public selection. My task is to provide written reports and verbal depositions on themes that the Commission decides to assign to me, from time to time,“ he continues, “this mandate will last for 4 months, starting from now”. Resti was the Banking Stakeholder Group’s vice-president of the EBA (European Banking Authority) for two mandates.
