Bocconi Rocks: Live Music on Campus

AS PART OF THE INITIATIVES FOR WELCOME DAYS, CAMPUS LIFE IS ORGANIZING ROCK THE CAMPUS: ON THE STAGE OF VIA ROENTGEN, EIGHT STUDENT BANDS WILL PLAY LIVE IN A ROCK MUSIC PERFORMANCE OPEN TO THE WHOLE BOCCONI COMUNITY

At Bocconi, students are not only busy studying economics, marketing, and law. Several Bocconi students have artistic passions, and for these fine young people Campus Life organizes extracurricular courses and activities throughout the academic year. These will be presented during Rock the Campus, the live concert which will take place in the Aula Magna of via Roentgen, on Thursday, September 18, starting at 6pm.

For the first time ever at Bocconi, eight rock bands composed of Bocconi students will go on stage. The bands have been selected in an open competition by Prof Nicola Pecchiari of the Department of Accounting, and musician himself (he is sax tenor of the Bocconi Jazz Business Unit).

Pecchiari says: “On holiday this year I listened to the music of the bands registered for the competition. All contestants played good music, I have to say. I finally chose those eight student bands which will perform live before their peers in a new event for the University ”. The standards for his judgment were: genre – pop and rock music –the quality of arrangements, and the combination between vocals and instruments. There will be bands singing Italian lyrics and bands singing English lyrics, playing original songs or covers of famous songs.

These are the bands that will perform live on stage: Apology (indie rock), Baudelaire's Conspiracy (electronica - indie - rock), Gala Blu (pop rock), Lifeguards (rock pop), Trak (acoustic), TSF (hard rock),
5Accents (unplugged).
